Alcohol Addiction Counselling and Sober Coaching.

Kensington Clinic.
The Sober Coach Program integrates the most effective aspects of traditional rehabilitation methods and Alcohol Addiction Counselling to provide a comprehensive six-week approach aimed at achieving long-term sobriety.
The Kensington Clinic approach and program are based on psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, relapse prevention, and goal setting.
It’s very similar to a residential rehab program, but it is a condensed version without the group living setting. Our service is specialized, and we only work with alcohol addiction and alcohol use disorder (AUD).

Am I really an Alcoholic?
Does this sound familiar? Being unable to limit the amount of alcohol you drink. Wanting to cut down on how much you drink? or making unsuccessful attempts to do so. Spending a lot of time drinking and thinking about alcohol, or recovering from alcohol use. Feeling a strong craving or urge to drink alcohol after one to four days. If this sounds like you chances are you are an alcoholic. Keep in mind most alcoholics don’t think they are alcoholics. Take the online test.

A life of Anxiety, Embarrassment and Broken Promises?
Are people tired of your broken promises? Is your drinking affecting your relationship with your spouse and children? Are you waking up the next day full of anxiety? Do you feel alone all the time, even in a room full of people? Is your drinking impacting your work or business life? Are you telling yourself, “I will give up tomorrow,” but tomorrow never comes? These are all common signs of alcoholism or alcohol use disorder.

Does your Sobriety Live in the Future?
Do you find yourself making plans to give up drinking, only to find yourself drinking again just days later? These plans sound great at the time, but two or three days later you are drinking again and thinking those same thoughts. And the cycle starts again. Take some time to be really honest: how long have you been acting this way? Has it been months or even years?

Maybe you have tried alcohol counselling or other methods?

The common reason stopping people from getting Sober?
Arrogance represents a considerable number of individuals struggling with alcoholism who perceive themselves as a distinct category of alcoholic. This perspective often results in the postponement of seeking professional assistance. Such a mindset significantly contributes to the unfortunate loss of over a thousand lives annually in New Zealand due to various health complications related to alcoholism.

Kensington Clinic can help you get sober and stay sober.
The big difference with the Kensington Clinic is that we only specialize in working with people who have a drinking problem. As well as being trained alcohol counselors and sober coaches we also have lived experience. We have been in your position and have come out the other side. Our approach and program are based on psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, relapse prevention, and goal setting. We are helping people just like you get sober every day.
